HFC Safety Council members will have many opportunities to increase safety awareness through the many upcoming HFC meetings and events.

 

- March 4th meeting topic is “Motivating Your Safety Team”. Dan Roberts, Superintendent for Miami Trace schools, will bring his motivational speaking skills and knowledge to help HFC Safety Council members inspire and motivate their own safety teams.

 

- March 31 - April 2, 2009 Ohio Safety Congress - visit www.ohiobwc.com and look at the multitude of seminars at Ohio Safety Congress - Join other HFC Council members on the FUN BUS (April 1) and save the hassle of driving! See article below for details.

 

- April 8 meeting topic is a follow up to the Drugs in the Workplace discussion, with more insight into employee drug testing including process and procedures.

 

- Other dates to remember are the May 6th regular meeting in Wilmington, the CEO event on May 15th in Washington Court House and the June 3rd meeting in Washington Court House. We are also confirming date / time for the DOMTAR facility safety tour in May. This optional meeting will highlight specific safety programs DOMTAR utilizes and give attendees an opportunity to see safe practices in the DOMTAR workplace.

Join other HFC Safety Council members as we once again take the FUN BUS to the Ohio Safety Congress in Columbus on Wednesday, April 1st. We will meet at the Prime Outlets (I–71 & US 35) in the early morning, motor to Columbus, take in the Safety Congress exhibits and sessions and be back by 5:00p.m.—all for the price of $15 per person. Reservations are required, and we encourage you to make yours early; we expect the bus to be full, and want you to come  along!
